Our colleagues Mihai Pop, Teodora Sin and Andrei Dinu attended the 5th TusnadEcoBear International Conference, held on 20–23 October in Băile Tușnad.

Mihai gave a presentation on the importance of lessons from the past for tomorrow’s decisions, while Teodora and Andrei presented a study conducted in Putna–Vrancea Natural Park on how mammal species adjust their activity in response to human presence and activities.
These were days of meetings and conversations about the relationship between people and large carnivores, challenges in the field and what we can learn from one another. We had the pleasure of reconnecting with long-standing collaborators and meeting a new generation of young people interested in coexistence with large carnivores. We were happy to share ACDB’s experience and bring home new ideas and connections!
Thank you to the organisers and all participants for their openness and the experiences they shared!
